Launch - Festival 2008
The 2008 Plus Festival was launched at a busy reception held in central Birmingham on 24 April. Plus Directors' were pleased to welcome potential exhibitors, speakers and sponsors to the reception where ‘Hybrid’ was unveiled as the theme of the 2008 Festival and a call for entries was made. The successfully launch was made possible by eOffice who generously sponsored this event.

Plus '07 - the results
The Plus International Design Festival 2007, was regarded a success by artists/designers, visitors, stakeholders, sponsors and organisers alike. The event exceeded projected expectations and was successful in meeting its stated aims and objectives.
A total of 3,400 visitors and 328 individuals and organisations participated in the Festival:
93 – designers and illustrators from 18 groups created bespoke installations or images
47 – speakers talked about their typographic work
45 – design students volunteered their labours
33 - design undergraduates from 2 universities showcased their work
27 - artists and makers displayed their work
24 - instructors conducted 14 workshops
15 - pupils, 6 teachers and 3 judges took part in the school design competition
09 - professional organisations exhibited their services
02 - original works were commissioned
02 - bands entertained the visitors
01 - tour guide conducted 8 design walks for 620 people
01 – DJ played at 1 big party for more than 600 party-goers
